This report paints a detailed picture of British government and European Union collusion with the Israeli army and defence industry in its use of drones against the population of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

In light of their complicity in repeated Israeli violations of international law, War on Want is calling for a two-way arms embargo between the UK and Israel to put an end to the UK’s “material support to Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people”. This would bring a halt to dealings with Israeli weapons companies and an end to all licenses for UK arms exports to Israel.

The British government is, the report observes, in effect, buying technology that has been “field tested” on Palestinians. Despite this clear violation of Palestinian human rights, the UK continues its collaboration with Israel’s army and military industry providing material support to Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people.

The British government is also importing Israel’s drone technologies for its armed forces and Israeli arms companies continue to play a leading role internationally in the development and export of drone technologies.

The report argues that to defend Palestinian human rights and prevent violations of international law the British government and the European Union must end their complicity with Israel’s use of violence against civilians to field test their drone technologies.
