EU issues updated list of "terrorist organisations and persons" (27.6.03)

On 27 June 2003, the Council of the European Union issued updated lists of:

1. "Terrorist organisations" and individuals inside the EU : EU groups and people (pdf)

2. "Terrorist organisations" and inidividuals outside the EU : non-EU groups and people
(pdf)

The EU resisted US and UK pressure to put the Palestinian group Hamas on its list of
outlawed terrorist organisations. Last year the EU outlawed Hamas' military wing, the Izz
al-Deen al-Qassam Brigades.

12 December 2002, the Council of the European Union issued updated lists of:
