EU: ECJ judgment annuls the "safe third country" and "safe country of origin" provisions of the procedures directive

The Court's judgment today annuls the "safe third country" and "safe country of origin" provisions of the procedures directive - and also states that the co-decision procedure now fully applies to asylum law. The case was brought by the European Parliament: Case C-133/06 - full-text of judgment (pdf).
