The latest Schengen Information System (SIS) statistics show the number of total "alerts" have decreased compared to 2011, the number of alerts on "unwanted aliens" however for the second year. But arrest "alerts" (probably mainly to the increased use of EAW) is on the rise as are those for Article 99 alerts on specific checks and discreet surveillance.
