The Council is developing its position on the new Data Protection Regulation which will replace the 1995 Directive. “Almost all delegations are of the opinion that the proposed regulation contains too many cases of delegated acts. Several delegations have a reservation on the chosen legal form of the proposed instrument and would prefer a Directive” (Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark and Slovenia).
