Visa facilitation for short stay-visas was conditioned upon the conclusion of a readmission agreement in the framework of the Mobility Partnership signed by Cape Verde with the EU in 2008. The visa facilitation agreement thus suggests there have been positive developments in the ongoing negotiations for a readmission agreement between the EU and Cape Verde.
