- Seasonal workers: Proposed "compromise":
Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals for the purposes of seasonal employment [First reading] - Analysis of the draft final compromise text with a view to agreement (128 pages, pdf) Multicolumn text following the 7th trilogue meeting with the European Parliament.
- LEA access to Entry/Exit System:
Draft Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing an Entry/Exit System (EES) to register entry and exit data of third country nationals crossing the external borders of the Member States of the European Union - Access for law enforcement purposes (pdf): Contrary to the Commission proposal:
"a large majority of delegations favoured to provide for access to the EES for law enforcement purposes, and in particular for the purpose of combating cross-border crime and terrorism, from the date of start of the operation of the EES."
