Three reports by EU policing agency Europol outlining its work during 2016 (including a joint report for the year on its work with EU judicial cooperation agency Eurojust) and its plans for the 2017-19 period.
General Report on Europol's activities in 2016 (11004/17, pdf):
"Delegations will find enclosed the General Report on Europol's activities in 2016 and the first four months of 2017 (before the entry into application of the Europol Regulation) adopted by the Management Board on 7 June 2017, and submitted to the Council by a letter dated 26 June 2017."
Joint Eurojust-Europol Annual Report 2016 to the Council of the European Union and the European Commission(11220/17, pdf):
"While Europol and Eurojust have continued a close daily cooperation in their core operational activities in 2016, both organisations have also strengthened discussions at managerial and strategic level through regular Steering Committee meetings and the annual High Level meeting.
The effectiveness of this coordination and cooperation is illustrated by 3 examples in which both organisations jointly supported national authorities. These cases dealt with serious and organised crime, cybercrime and counter terrorism, including a financial crime component.
Furthermore, for the first time since the establishment of either agency, a joint meeting of the management boards of each organisation took place in December to consider strategies for enhancing cooperation."

"Goal 1: Europol will be the EU criminal information hub, providing information sharing capabilities to law enforcement authorities in the MS [Member States]"
"Goal 2: Europol will provide the most effective operational support and expertise to MS investigations by developing and employing a comprehensive portfolio of services"
"Goal 3: Europol will be an efficient organisation with effective governance arrangements and a positive reputation"
