Statistical Data of the Greek Asylum Service - Relocation Procedures (up to 19.11.2017)(pdf): 24,887 people relocated in total.
The relocation scheme formally ended on 26 September 2017 although asylum-seekers who arrived in Greece and were fingerprinted before that date are still eligible to apply. It was initially foreseen that over 63,000 people would be relocated from Greece but the EU and Member States revised the numbers downwards after realising that the rules on eligibility meant there were fewer people in Greece who could make use of the scheme. This decision of course did nothing for the thousands of people who remain stranded in Greece. See: Restrictive refugee relocation scheme means new lower targets might be met (Statewatch News Online, 18 May 2017)
