• READMISSION: Admission procedures for the return of Ethiopians from European Union Member States (LIMIITE doc no: 15762-17, pdf) Note this is not a readmission agreement (to which the European Parliament would have to agree).

"As part of the recent reinforcement of the relations between the EU and Ethiopia in the area of migration and migration-related issues, the two sides committed to develop cooperation in the area of return and readmission, by jointly defining admission procedures for the return procedures of Ethiopians nationals illegally present in the territory of the EU Member States (thereafter "admission procedures'').(...)

The Permanent Representatives Committee and the Council are invited to confirm the agreement reached and to approve the EU position on the attached draft admission procedures, with a view to allowing their signature on the EU side."

The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consult: "the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS)."

• CYBERCRIME: Improving the EU’s fight against cybercrime: EU law enforcement response - Progress report (LIMITE doc no: 15738-17, pdf): Prepared by Europol.

• So-called "Blue Card": Purposed Directive on Legal Migration - State of play (LIMITE doc no:15699-17, pdf):

"The first trilogue took place on the 12 September, followed by trilogues on 18 October,
27 November and 13 December (...)

However, the positions of the co-legislators on the key elements of the file diverge considerably. Whilst provisional agreement has been found on a number of technical questions, the negotiations have now reached a point where political guidance is needed on more fundamental issues. It is clear that neither the European Parliament nor the Council is ready to compromise on the key issues if taken separately. Thus, a package approach is needed to unblock the situation."

• MONEY-LAUNDERING: Proposal for a Directive on countering money laundering by criminal law - exchange of views on the LIBE orientation vote of 11 December 2017 (LIMITE doc no: 15800-17, 64 pages pdf). Four-column document, from p4 onwards with the Commission proposal, the Council and Parliament positions and the"compromise position".

• EUROJUST AGENCY: Proposal for a Regulation on the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) - Follow up of the third trilogue of 6 December 2017 (LIMITE doc no: 14306-REV-1-17, 295 pages, pdf): Four-column document, from p3 onwards with the Commission proposal, the Council and Parliament positions and the"compromise position".

"On 6 December 2017 the third trilogue on the proposal for a Regulation on the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) took place."
