To maintain and expand our work, we need your support.
Support our work: become a Friend of Statewatch from as little as £1/€1 per month.
Statewatch will be celebrating its 30th birthday next year. From the growth in new surveillance powers, to the expansion of unaccountable coercive agencies and the ongoing tragedies at Europe's borders, we are determined to continue exposing and challenging threats to civil liberties and fundamental freedoms.
To do so, we need to raise £40,000/€44,000 to maintain our work in 2021.
You can support the fight for civil liberties, democratic standards and human rights in Europe by becoming a Friend of Statewatch. If you have the means, please consider becoming a major donor.
Our website receives hundreds of thousands of hits a month from journalists, lawyers, activists, politicians, students and others from across Europe and beyond. All our work is available for free.
We have many valued supporters and contributors who make our work possible but, like many charities, we are currently under severe pressure. We can carry on providing and improving our free resources – but only with your support.
Civil liberties and democracy in Europe are fragile; fake news and disinformation abound. The need for an informed response grows more urgent by the day.
Our research, reporting and action on key issues defends and extends civil liberties, democratic standards and human rights for all.
Even small donations make a big difference by contributing to our independence. We appeal to you to maintain that independence and secure our future.
