EU to collect data of international air travellers (euobserver, link)
This is not the first time an EU-PNR scheme has been proposed, the Commission put forward a proposal for a Framework Decision in 2007: Commission proposal (pdf). In November 2008 the European Parliament refused to vote on the proposal.
