BNP attacks Anti-Fascist Action supporters
artdoc May=1991

An incident in Brick Lane, Tower Hamlets, when members of the BNP
attacked Anti-Fascist Action demonstrators, led to the arrest of several
BNP and AFA members.
In a separate incident, an English language teacher from Ilford was
beaten by a group of men at Gants Hill station as he was tearing BNP
stickers from the tube's wall. Arthur Neslen, a former member of
Anti-Fascist Action, was first surrounded and then punched and kicked in
the face after four men had watched him peeling off the stickers.
Neslen's attackers are believed to have been BNP members. (City Limits
