An inquest returned a verdict of suicide on Bosnian asylum-seeker Lejla Ibrahimovic, who killed herself after the Home Office refused her husband a visa to join her. After a year-long struggle, Mrs Ibrahimovic gave up and died of an overdose of sleeping pills. The Home Office granted her husband a compassionate visa after her death.
