Bulgaria: "CIA" man held

An engineer from a North Sea service company found himself in a Bulgarian prison after being detained at Sofia airport. The man, from Chandlers International (Aberdeen), had put the initials of his employers - CIA - on immigration forms. He was seized by immigration officials on arrival and held overnight on suspicion of being an agent of the US Central Intelligence Agency. Balkan News 13.11.94.
