Calls for review of criminal justice system
artdoc July=1991

The Home Secretary, Kenneth Baker, and Lord MacKay are
planning to conduct a thorough review of the criminal
justice system. They are going to examine the appeals system
and court procedures.
Plans for a major overhaul of the criminal justice
system come in the wake of public concern over the
misconduct of the police in trials such as the Maguire 7 and
the Guildford 4. (Times 2.2.91)
