Anarchists and fascists clash in Prague

Fighting broke out in Prague when the far-Right Republican party
attempted to hold a rally on Czech National Day. According to the
colleague of a reporter who was beaten up, bodyguards of the
Republican leader, Miroslav Sladek, were to blame (Guardian
29.10.94).

Gypsies attacked

A group of skinheads have been arrested after they attacked two
Gypsies, seriously injuring one, in Olomovc. But in Jablonec Nad
Nisou five skinheads accused of setting fire to a Romany home
were set free by a court who equated the crime with a childish
prank (Romnews no. 12, 3.8.94).
