The European Parliament has told the Mr Raniero Vanni d'Archirafi, the European Commissioner responsible for the internal market, that unless the Commission acts by the end of April they will consider taking them to court. The UK is the main problem in removing internal border because it maintains that it will continue passport controls "indefinitely".
