White Paper setting out the conclusions of the Government's
review of the controls on firearms and shotguns in Great Britain.
The review was begun in 1987 as part of the preparation for an
amnesty for illegally held firearms. The tragic events at
Hungerford, and a number of other recent events involving the use
of legally held firearms have added importance to the review.
