The Home Office was investigating reports that rejected Ghanaian asylum-seeker Valerie Senoo was gagged while being restrained by ten male and two female officers at Campsfield detention centre. Ms Senoo, who had been in Britain for nine years and was an asthma sufferer, had been detained since January 1994 and was allegedly taken from the detention centre in the early hours of 25 November and deported.
