Paul Boateng, GLC Police Committee Chairman, has said that
remarks by an American police magazine, attributed to Sir
Kenneth Newman, the next Metropolitan Police Commissioner, if
true, would be a "disgraceful slur on Jamaicans and on the
black community in general".
