Further report and comment on the recent riots, principally in
London. Emphasises varying attitudes to the ways in which
rioters and looters should be dealt with by the police and
courts, including the move by the Home Secretary to make army
camps available for people arrested during riots, and the
likelihood of a package of "tougher measures" including "snatch
squads", water cannon and armoured vehicles, to be announced
later this week.
