Immigration quotas established

Following last year's `foreigners law', the government has
announced that it will issue 2,000 immigration visas in 1995 with
preference being given to foreigners already in Hungary with
temporary refugee status or officially recognised as refugees.
According to experts, there are presently 200,000 illegal
workers in Hungary (Balkan News 25.12.94).
