Following a series of revelations about German and US intelligence or Drug Enforcement Agency officials operating on Dutch soil, the opposition conservative liberal party (VVD) have asked cabinet ministers to give a clear picture of the arrangements for foreign policing and intelligence operations in Holland. "We are not just concerned about the activities of American services, but also about other forms of international cooperation that remain obscure", says MP Hans Dijkstal. "In matters of prosecution etcetera, I encounter far too many Americans lately" adds his colleague Mr. Korthals (not to be confused with the former minister of Justice Mr Frits Korthals Altes, also an MP for the VVD party).

Minister of the Interior Mrs Ien Dales said that all officers have to comply with the laws and restrictions of the country in which an operation takes place.
