PROTEST AGAINST THE NEW CROSS FIRE IN WHICH THIRTEEN
BLACK YOUNG PEOPLE DIED. THE FIRST COMPARES PRESS AND MEDIA
RESPONSE TO THE EVENT AND DESCRIBES GROWING BLACK
ALIENATION TO OFFICIAL RESPONSES. THE SECOND ARTICLE SEES THE
MARCH AS A PARALLEL TO THOSE DEMONSTRATIONS OF THE
'OUTCAST OF LONDON' OF THE 19TH CENTURY AND ALSO COMMENTS ON THE
POLICE HANDLING OF THE MARCH.
