A white Smethwick woman who led a sustained campaign of
harassment against an Asian family has been evicted from her
council home.
Hilda Carter, 62, was served with an eviction notice by
the Sandwell Housing Committee who said she may be
re-housed. The eviction is the first of its kind by a
council outside of London. (Birmingham Post 10.1.91,
12.1.91)
