Oliver Pryce
artdoc April=1992

A post-mortem has failed to establish the cause of death of
30-year-old Oliver Pryce, who died after being arrested by five
police officers in Berwick Hills, Middlesbrough. Police claim
that he collapsed in a police van on the way to Middlesbrough
police station and that, although he received medical treatment
and was taken to hospital, he was later pronounced dead. An
anonymous friend, however, claims that Oliver, who was not
violent, had had two handcuffs placed on his wrist and one on his
legs. When he got to the station he was having difficulty
breathing.
The Pryce family are now trying to arrange a solicitor to
conduct an independent inquiry. (Voice 7.8.90)
