Surrey woman wins court injunction
artdoc July=1991

A Surrey woman who suffered a three year campaign of racial
harassment by her neighbours has been allowed to move back
into her home after a High Court injunction.
The 30 year-old Guyanese woman, who has not been named,
had `NF' daubed on her door and in one incident a neighbour
tried to kick down her door and threatened to kill her.
Although the woman contacted the police, they said they
could not do anything because they had not seen the
assailant. One officer is reported to have told her, `Sorry,
luv, you're the wrong colour, living in the wrong borough.'
