Looks at the response of the local community in the St Pauls area
of Bristol to the recent police operation directed against inner
city crime and drug dealing including comment on the
representativeness of the community leaders consulted by the
police. Some local people, particularly the Rastafarians, have
little time for these leaders who are seen as rich outsiders with
little to do with the area. The general view of the police
operation is that it was heavy-handed and likely to further sour
community relations.
