Describes the five-part study undertaken by the St Bernard
Parish Policy Jury of the transportation patterns of such
materials in its area, on the edge of New Orleans, which
includes various oil and natural gas refineries and
distribution centres. The study comprised an inventory of
existing routes and delivery destinations; an analysis of
the materials carried; a detailed analysis of the materials
carried: a detailed analysis of major road and rail routes;
an assessment of accident response procedures; and policy
recommendations.
