The Dowager Lady Jane Birdwood, a notorious anti-semite and former election candidate for the fascist British National Party, was found unfit to plead at her latest trial on charges of incitement to racial hatred. Birdwood, who has a string of convictions for her vicious, but totally incoherent, rantings and preposterous publications, had the charges against her dropped after the Attorney-General was told that she did not have the "mental capacity" to stand trial. He signed a nolle prosequi to stay proceedings.
