She is a journalist, editor and researcher covering hostile border policies, conflict and the climate crisis for news outlets including Al Jazeera, The Independent, Middle East Eye, The New Humanitarian and openDemocracy. She is also managing editor of Border Criminologies’ blog, based at the University of Oxford.
